Taxonomy
Rhadinosuchus was named by Huene (1942). Its type is Rhadinosuchus gracilis. It is the type genus of Rhadinosuchinae.
It was assigned to Rhadinosuchidae by Kuhn (1966); to Proterochampsia by Langer et al. (2007); to Proterochampsidae by Trotteyn et al. (2013); and to Rhadinosuchinae by Ezcurra et al. (2015) and Ezcurra (2016).
