Bulla (Scaphander) javana was named by Martin (1879) [DISTRIBUTION: Early-Middle Miocene; Indo-Pacific]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Bulla (Scaphander) javanus by Dey (1961); it was recombined as Scaphander javana by Skwarko (1994); it was recombined as Scaphander javanus by Vredenburg (1925) and Harzhauser et al. (2009).
