Arca bisulcata was named by Lamarck (1819) [DISTRIBUTION: Holocene-Recent; Brazil.]. It is extant. Its type locality is Habo Hill Bivalves (Kanjilal), which is in a Callovian marine horizon in India.
It was recombined as Noetia (Eontia) bisulcata by da Silva Forti (1969); it was recombined as Noetia bisulcata by Massemin et al. (2009).
