Taxonomy
Teilhardina asiatica was named by Ni et al. (2004). Its type specimen is IVPP V12357, a skull (partial skull and associated lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lingcha, which is in an Eocene terrestrial siliciclastic in the Lingcha Formation of China.
