Taxonomy
Sivanasua palaeindica was named by Pilgrim (1932). Its type specimen is GSI-D224, a set of teeth (right P4 and M2-3), and it is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Sivaladapis palaeindicus by Gingerich and Sahni (1979).
