Taxonomy
Corbula caribaea was named by d'Orbigny (1845) [DISTRIBUTION: Holocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Caryocorbula (Caryocorbula) caribaea by da Silva Forti (1969); it was recombined as Caryocorbula caribaea by Anderson and Roopnarine (2003).

Synonyms
  • Corbula swiftiana was named by Adams (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Caryocorbula caribaea by Hendy et al. (2008).
  • Corbula barrattiana was named by Adams (1852) [DISTRIBUTIONL Pleistocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Caryocorbula barrattiana by DuBar (1971); it was synonymized subjectively with Caryocorbula caribaea by Hendy et al. (2008).
