Corbula nasuta was named by Sowerby (1833) [DISTRIBUTION: Holocene-Recent; Western Atlantic.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Caryocorbula (Caryocorbula) nasuta by da Silva Forti (1969); it was recombined as Corbula (Caryocorbula) nasuta by Keen (1971); it was recombined as Caryocorbula nasuta by Woodring (1982).
