It was reranked as Torquesia (Ispharina) by Marwick (1957) and Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); it was reranked as Turritella (Ispharina) by Gilbert (1962) and Abbass (1967).

It was assigned to Turritella by Gilbert (1962) and Abbass (1967); to Torquesia by Marwick (1957) and Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); and to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002).
