If no rank is listed, the taxon is considered an unranked clade in modern classifications. Ranks may be repeated or presented in the wrong order because authors working on different parts of the classification may disagree about how to rank taxa.
|D. B. Blake 2002||Body wall beyond mouth frame and ambulacra sturdy, constructed entirely of closely fitted paxillate ossicles. Marginal, carinal, lateral carinal, primary circlet ossicles weakly differentiated from one another. Paxillary crown weakly expanded; column waisted. Waist long or short, depending on oscicle position on animal; base faceted for papulae in dorsal-surface ossicles but robust, compressed, rectangular in lateral outline with adradial cross axis articular structures similar to corresponding arrangments of post-Paleozoic asteroids. Ambulacral-adambulacral articular surfaces appear faceted and therefore offset but with an open lateral pocket at juncture of ambulacrals, adambulacrals. Adambulacrals, perhaps some marginals and abactinals with robust, grooved, conical spines. Mouth angle ossicles, proximal adambulacrals with robust spoon-shaped spines.|
