Entelodon dirus
Taxonomy
Entelodon dirus was named by Matthew and Granger (1923). Its type specimen is AMNH 19181, a tooth (last upper molar), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Houldjin Gravels (early 1920s AMNH), which is in a Houldjinian terrestrial gravel in China.
