Lacertasterias elegans

Taxonomy
Lacertasterias elegans was named by Blake and Guensburg (1989). It is not extant. Its type specimen is USNM 385016. Its type locality is Lacertasterias elegans type locality, Gilmore city, which is in a Kinderhookian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Gilmore City Formation of Iowa. It is the type species of Lacertasterias.
