Taxonomy
Teilhardina brandti was named by Gingerich (1993). Its type specimen is UM 99031, a tooth (right [lower] M2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is SC-351, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
It was recombined as Baataromomys brandti by Ni et al. (2007).
