Chlamys keiloriana was named by Crespin (1926) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle-Late Miocene; Australia.]. Its type specimen is NMV P13466, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Talochlamys keiloriana by Beu and Darragh (2001).
