Murex (Muricopsis) graniformis was named by Harris (1897). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Paziella graniformis by Darragh (1970).

Synonyms
  • Murex (Ocenebra) alevolatus was named by Tate (1888) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Southern Australia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

    It was replaced with Murex (Muricopsis) graniformis by Harris (1897).
