Namibiocyon ginsburgi

Taxonomy
Ysengrinia ginsburgi was named by Morales et al. (1998). Its type specimen is AD 133, a mandible (left mandible with broken ascending ramus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arrisdrift, which is in a Miocene channel sandstone in Namibia.

It was recombined as Afrocyon ginsburgi by Morales et al. (2016); it was recombined as Cynelos ginsburgi by Morlo and Miller (2019); it was recombined as Namibiocyon ginsburgi by Morales and Pickford (2022).
