Myochlamys eupatagonica was named by Ihering (1907) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Argentina.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys eupatagonicus by Parodiz (1996); it was recombined as Chlamys eupatagonica by del Rio (2004).
