Taxonomy
Arkonaster topororum was named by Kesling (1982). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Holotype UMMP 64451. Its type locality is Arkonaster collection, Arkona Shale, Ausable River, which is in a Devonian marine shale in the Arkona Shale Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Arkonaster.
