Taxonomy
Olequahia was named by Stewart (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-l T Ol-l]. Its type is Tritonium hornii.

It was assigned to Bursidae by Durham (1944), Hickman (1980), Squires (1984), Squires (1988) and Squires and Demetrion (1992); and to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002).
