Taxonomy
Corbula viminea was named by Guppy (1866) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Corbula (Bothrocorbula) viminea by Maury (1917), Woodring (1925) and Anderson (1996); it was recombined as Bothrocorbula viminea by Gabb (1872), Woodring (1982) and Anderson and Roopnarine (2003).
