Taxonomy
Corbula dominicensis was named by Gabb (1873) [DISTRIBUTION: Early-Middle Miocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Corbula (Cuneocorbula) dominicensis by Maury (1917); it was recombined as Corbula (Caryocorbula) dominicensis by Anderson (1996); it was recombined as Caryocorbula dominicensis by Hendy et al. (2008).
