Taxonomy
Cardium (Trachycardium) tintinnabularum was named by Maury (1917) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cardium tintinnabularum by Pilsbry (1922); it was recombined as Trachycardium (Dallocardia) tintinnabularum by Vokes (1989).
