Taxonomy
Cardium (Trigoniocardia) aminense was named by Dall (1900) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; circum-Caribbean.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cardium aminense by Maury (1920); it was recombined as Trigoniocardia aminense by Weisbord (1964); it was recombined as Trigoniocardia (Apiocardia) aminensis by Woodring (1982); it was recombined as Trigoniocardia (Trigoniocardia) aminensis by Vokes (1989).
