Trigonia semiundulata was named by Jenkins (1865) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; southern Australia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Eotrigonia semiundulata by Cossmann (1912), Cox (1952) and Darragh (1970).
