Cardita (Venericardia) davidsoni was named by Deshayes (1858) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Venericardia davidsoni by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904); it was recombined as Cyclocardia (Arcturellina) davidsoni by Le Renard (1993).
