Taxonomy
Cardita pulchra was named by Deshayes (1858) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Venericardia pulchra by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904); it was recombined as Cyclocardia (Arcturellina) pulchra by Le Renard (1993).
