Lucina albella was named by Lamarck (1806) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenozoic; Western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Phacoides (Parvilucina) albellus by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904); it was recombined as Parvilucina (Callucinella) albella by Moore (1969).
