Yoldia myalis was named by Couthouy (1838). It is extant.

It was recombined as Nucula myalis by Couthouy (1838); it was recombined as Leda myalis by Wood (1850); it was recombined as Yoldia (Yoldia) myalis by Scarlatto (1981) and Coan et al. (2000).
