Olsson 1929 | Shell large, heavy, solid ; whorls numerous between close, linear or deeply channelled sutures ; surface smooth, or with heavy longitudinal ribs or folds, the base flattened or convex, and generally with spiral sculpture; outer lip thin, sinuous, slightly expanded about the basal portion ; there is a wide, shallow, posterior sinus, its axis about the middle of the whorls and midway between the sutures ; anterior canal short, apparently with a typical, recurved cerithial canal ; growth-lines sinuous, following the contour of the outer lip. |
