Taxonomy
Tellina lorenzoensis was named by Arnold (1908) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene-Oligocene; Eastern Pacific.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Macoma lorenzoensis by Arnold and Hannibal (1913); it was recombined as Tellina (Eurytellina) lorenzoensis by Moore (2002).
