Ostrea vicksburgensis ludoviciana was named by Harris (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Alectryonia ludoviciana by Palmer and Brann (1965).
