Taxonomy
Nucula parva was named by Rogers and Rogers (1837) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Atlantic Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Leda parva by Conrad (1854) and Clark (1895); it was recombined as Nuculana parva by Conrad (1865); it was recombined as Saccella parva by Palmer and Brann (1965).
