Nucula magnifica mauricensis was named by Harris (1919) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Nucula (Nucula) mauricensis by Palmer and Brann (1965); it was recombined as Nucula mauricensis by Deussen (1924), Gardner (1945) and Kosnik (2002).
