Taxonomy
Rhynchonella anticostiensis was named by Billings (1862) [Rhynchonella Anticostiensis]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Rhynchotrema anticostiense by Twenhofel (1928); it was recombined as Hypsiptycha anticostiensis by Amsden (1983) and Jin (1989); it was recombined as Hypsiptycha anticostiense by Holland (2003).
