Taxonomy
Parabolinella tetragonalis was named by Harrington (1938).

It was recombined as Triarthrus tetragonalis by Harrington and Leanza (1952), Harrington and Leanza (1957) and Robison and Pantoja-Alor (1968); it was recombined as Bienvillia tetragonalis by Henningsmoen (1957), Ludvigsen and Tuffnell (1983) and Tortello and Esteban (2016).
