Anguloceras ovatum
Taxonomy
Anguloceras ovatum was named by Unklesbay and Young (1956). Its type specimen is Univ. Mo. 12726, a shell (phragmocone), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Unklesbay and Young Locality 1, which is in a Gasconadian offshore limestone in Virginia. It is the type species of Anguloceras.
