Mesotaphraspis parva

Taxonomy
Mesotaphraspis parva was named by Whittington and Evitt (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 116498 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 2. edge of quarry, just north of RR tracks ΒΌ mile west of Strasburg Junction, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Mesotaphraspis.
