Ceraurinella typa
Taxonomy
Ceraurinella typa was named by Cooper (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 116473b, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 3. south side of road, 0.2 mile east of Strasburg Junction, which is in a Turinian carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Ceraurinella.
