Taxonomy
Trochus canaliculatum was named by Angelin and Lindström (1880) [Trochus canaliculatum Lindström in Angelin & Lindström 1880]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Platyceras (Platyceras) canaliculatum by Ebbestad and Peel (1997); it was recombined as Cyclonema canaliculata by Wagner (2023).
