Quadrinervus was named by Cossmann (1904) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-l K Maes-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1074].

It was assigned to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Aporrhaidae by Kaim (2004); and to Harpagodinae by Kollmann (2009).
