Anomphalus permianus
Taxonomy
Euomphalus permianus was named by King (1848). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tunstall Hill, Durham (King collection), which is in a Wuchiapingian perireef or subreef grainstone in the Ford Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Straparollus permianus by Geinitz (1861), Dietz (1911) and Riedel (1917); it was recombined as Anomphalus permianus by Pattison (1977) and Hollingworth and Barker (1991).
