Ardynia praecox

Taxonomy
Ardynia praecox was named by Matthew and Granger (1923). Its type specimen is AMNH 19156, a maxilla (upper jaw with p2-m1; m3 doubtfully associated), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ergilin Dzo [AMNH], which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone in the Ergilin Dzo Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Ardynia.
