Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria lenticularis was named by Goldfuss (1844). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Pleurotomaria (Oehlertia) lenticularis by Perner (1907); it was recombined as Quadricarina lenticularis by Blodgett and Johnson (1992), Heidelberger (2001), Frýda and Blodgett (2004) and Wagner (2023).
