Taxonomy
Bellerophon (Sphaerocyclus) iners was named by Spitz (1907) [Bellerophon (Sphaerocyclus) iners Spitz 1907]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Light Gray Riffskalk, Thörl, Lake Wolayer, Carnic Alps, which is in a Pragian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Grau Riffkalk Formation of Austria.

It was recombined as Sphaerocyclus iners by Wagner (2023).
