Taxonomy
Microcornus petilus was named by Bengtson et al. (1990) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cambrian; South Australia. COMMENTS: Bengston in Bengston et al. 1990]. Its type specimen is SAMP 30887, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
