Anabarites trisulcatus

Taxonomy
Anabarites trisulcatus was named by Voronova and Missarzhevsky (1969) [Missarzhevsky in Voronova and Missarzhevsky 1969. Usually given as Missarzhevsky in Rozanov et al. 1969.]. Its type specimen is GIN 3593/116, an other, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Anabarites.

A. Kouchinsky et al. 2009nabarites species having slowly expanding tubes, with internal moulds expressing three rounded lobes separated by shallow grooves (Figs 2A & 6B). Growth lines in the grooves often curve towards the aperture.

Description. Irregularly curved, slowly expanding internal moulds with tri-fold transverse profiles. Three rounded lobes are separated by narrow and shallow, but distinct, grooves. In some specimens, growth lines in the grooves curve towards the aperture (Fig. 6A & C). Some possibly preserve remnants of phosphatised walls (Fig. 6C, H & J).
