Prodeinotherium bavaricum

Taxonomy
Deinotherium bavaricum was named by von Meyer (1831). Its type specimen is BSP AS I 220, a tooth (lower p3 dext.), and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Prodeinotherium.

It was recombined as Prodeinotherium bavaricum by Shoshani and Tassy (1996) and Huttunen and Göhlich (2002).
