Prodeinotherium bavaricum
Taxonomy
Deinotherium bavaricum was named by von Meyer (1831). Its type specimen is BSP AS I 220, a tooth (lower p3 dext.), and it is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Prodeinotherium bavaricum by Shoshani and Tassy (1996), Huttunen and Göhlich (2002) and Aiglstorfer et al. (2014).
