Taxonomy
Anachis fugax was named by Brown and Pilsbry (1911) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Panama.]. Its type specimen is ANSP (no number), a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Anachis (Costoanachis) mira fugax by Woodring (1964).
