J. L. Benedetto 2007 | Medium-sized, subequally biconvex shells with finely multicostellate ornament. Ventral muscle field suboval, bounded by conspicuous ridges. Strongly diverging brachiophores supported by bladelike bases which in juvenile specimens unite medially to form narrow V-shaped septalium; in mature specimens brachiophore bases merged with sides of median ridge, becoming approximately parallel to each other and delimiting small U-shaped notothyrial chamber. Cardinal process absent. Dorsal median ridge short and broad in adult specimens. |
