Ficus mississippiensis was named by Conrad (1848) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Eocene; Gulf Coastal Plain.]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vicksburg, which is in a Rupelian marine marl in the Byram Marl Formation of Mississippi.
